LeBonheur Children's Medical Center has been a pillar in the community for children and families from all backgrounds. For me and my family this place represents the meaning of the french term: Happiness/Joy or Blessed. 

Both my brother and sister received life-saving care from the staff at LeBonheur CMC in Memphis, TN. My brother was a long-term patient and my sister received emergency care. I will always remember that as a small child it didn't feel like a scary place. It felt comforting and safe. All of the staff we interacted with continued that theme of comfort which made a difference forever in my view of this medical system.
